  2. Today I hear an interesting new that talked about bears.
The reporter said that this time of the year the bears come into heat and the big males in this time they are more aggressive and they are a danger for the tourists.
I read Maria Vorontsova, spokeswoman of the nature reserve Kronotsk said that period would run from May 21 to June 29.
Also, she adds in that region between May and June nested birds, and the snow sheep had their pups, so that human presence in that period was highly inadvisable.
The spokeswoman explained that one of the reason why for over fifteen year was implemented the “month of silence” in the reserve was the icing, which could cause landslides and floods in the tourist trails.

  6. Mrs. Sarah Martinez was worried because she hadn’t seen her pet cat, Percy, for nearly two days. She told her neighbor, Frank Armstrong about it. Frank said he knew where Percy was and took her to a tall tree in the street. Mrs. Greenfield called out to her cat but it did not move. He suggested that she should telephone the fire brigade and ask them to help. Mrs. Martinez went back to her house and phoned the local fire station. She told them about the cat and asked them to come and save the cat. Twenty minutes later, Mrs. Martinez showed the fire officer where Percy was sitting in the tree. The fire officer asked Mrs. Martinez what the cat liked eating. She told him that Percy’s favorite food was sardines. The fire officer said it would be difficult to catch the cat because it would be very frightened and asked her if she had got any sardines. He scrambled towards the fire officer who caught him easily.

  7. I have read today a new about the chaos that is happening in Mexico because of the everyday murders. It seems like the "cartel leader" behind the Monterrey deaths was arrested. The Mexican army says it has arrested the man who probably ordered the brutal killing of 49 people a week ago. An army spokesman said Daniel Jesus Elizondo - known as El Loco, or The Madman - was arrested by troops. In a statement, Mexico's defence secretary said the arrest took place on Friday in Cadereyta municipality, where the 49 bodies were found on 13 May. However, information about the arrest was only made public on Sunday. The crime shocked Mexico, a country where drug-related violence has become familiar since President Felipe Calderon launched a war on the cartels six years ago.
Security officials said the 43 men and six women had been decapitated and had their hands cut off, making identification difficult.Cadereyta is on the road from Monterrey to Reynosa on the US border.

  9. Today I read about Organ Donation in our cuntry. This article said the number of organ donors increased to 4,42 donors per million population. This increased resulted from various talks given to the peruvian population.
Juan Almeyda, who is director of National Organization of donation and transplantation of organs, noted that it was an important advance because in 2008 our country had 0.8 donors per million population.
Also he remarked the number of actual donors reached 125 people, which made possible a total of 551 transplants because of the deceased donor could make up to 15 transplants of organs and tissues in 2011.
Finally, He added that the goal should increase the rate of 5 donors per million of population.

  10. I read that the authorities said that They found lots of death pelicans in most of beaches in PERU .The first time they didn’t care about it , however, The mass deaths of thousands of pelicans and dolphins increased nearly 900 along the beaches of northern Peru . they mentioned that might be caused by poluted water that’s why many specialysts are being investigated by scientists, as environmentalists requeried the government's ability to protect one of the world's most abundant areas of marine life. Specialist added that The death of about 4,000 pelicans was caused by starvation after anchovy, their only food on the Peruvian coast during the winter, became scarce . Investigators believe an increase in usual ocean temperatures have driven a type of anchovy deeper into the sea, beyond the reach of many young pelicans – ultimately causing their deaths. In the other hand Peruvian scientists have been studying the deaths of dolphins and porpoises from early February to mid-April .They commented that it remained a mystery, due in part to the government's slowness in investigating the phenomenon. Authorities were so late in gathering issues from the mammals that crucial clues were likely lost, said the scientist heading the dolphin death probe, Armando Hung, head of the molecular biology lab at Cayetano Heredia University. At the same time, speacialysts observed that the authorities had been so slow in removing carcases . not only that but the citizens said that they had seen disoriented pelicans standing on beaches where they don't normally alight. Some had even been seen walking along coastal roadways. To conclude I would add that the goverment should solved it as son as posible .since I considered those animals as part of our biodiversity and we have to keep them safe . A06 JACKELINE SIFUENTES

  12. I just read an article about Electronic Voting in Peru. The article said that even though this modality of voting had been created in 2005, the past governments had not provided any financial support to implement it.
The president of ONPE, Magdalena Chú, pointed that they sought to apply this modality for the regional and municipal election of 2014. She also guaranteed that this process wouldn't have a higher cost than manual voting. Finally, she said that the machines would attend a higher number of voters and would prevent material errors.
That sounded very interesting, but the article remarked that it would be possible only if ONPE received a necessary budget.

  13. A few weeks ago, I have read an scientific article about "the power of our brain". It give me a lot of information. The article said that our brain is the most important organ of our body because it controls every single function or our cell. Scientists tell us that our brain needs more than 10,000 calories and sugar for make synapsis. Besides, they said that our brain is the last part of our body to die. The article compare the past life of humans from our life nowadays. It simply shows that we use it as much as posible. And our life is becoming really sedentary, so the scientists predict that the human figure in the following thousand of years is a human with a really big brain inside a shorty body. That means a big head human with atrophic body.

She actually didn’t lose her hands and legs, by this time one of her legs has been amputated though. The notice said that her case has produced a great many charity and sympathy actions all around the world through many social networks like Facebook. The notice said that she got a bacterium that causes necrosis, they mentioned that she got it when she suffered a big wound in one of her legs on May 1st when she was doing bungee jumping on a bridge upon Little Tallapoosa river. But Aimee had not been informed of the gravity of her situation until the last Thursday, but by that time both her hands were totally infected. The medics told Aimee’s father that they were considering the possibility of amputating those infected hands and her other leg in order to contain the infection and prevent to affect other zones of her body. His father said “She didn’t cry, even blink” he told the journalist he was so proud of being her father and that that was the reason he cried when told her the medical inform.
The notice added that Aimee’s case has caught a lot of attention of the national and international media and quoted that she wasn’t the only case, but that in South Carolina there was a case of a woman that caught the bacterium and she has taken four surgeries by that time.
