People in the US are known for their strong strain of individualism. They value this trait highly, and this feeling carries over into their professional life. It is sometimes not easy for some Americans to work in teams and to have management and workers share in the desicion-making process.
After watching the movie, what could you learn from the Japanese business management?

People in japan usually work together in groups, not only by the personal benefits if not for the benefit of all to ensure they achieve their goals and progress day after day.
ReplyDeleteThey try to keep an order and this is beneficial in their personal lives. And what is more important is that They always have a goal to reach.

All the people work together in japanese companies. There is not a difference between managment and labor. Workers work together to produce a good product and they receive stimulation to feel more comfortable and energetic. That's why those companies contribute to the success of their country and make money. The japanese method is a good example for companies that work individually.

I would say Japanese people have a different ideas to become succesful, so that`s the reason why they have others ways to live their lives. In addition to that they use a management training program before start working in a company to make their employees more responsible and efficient at work.
ReplyDeleteJapanese`s behavior seems to be more rude because they are exigent with themselves to do an excellent job.
I think they always follow steps and rules and try to be careful, as a consequence they will see succcesful results even in everyday activities.

we could learn from japanesse to work a teamwork approach to in the workplace individualistic, the Japanese in a softball game. The Japanese show up in uniforms, warm up as a team, and play team ball by bunting and moving runners over, etc. The Americans, on the other hand, all are wearing different uniforms and trying to hit the ball as far as they possibly can. It simply is a different philosophy besides we can watch how cultural differences can truly cause rifts between people. These differences, if we allow them to, can create gaps so large. We learn that different is not either right or wrong, it is simply different. Learning to embrace these differences can be difficult, but it can be accomplished. By embracing differences instead of critiquing them, great success can be achieved. japanesse people show us how we can do just that, and by doing so, how much more successful we can be when we choose to accept different viewpoints as opposed to simply refuse them without just cause.
ReplyDeleteIn my opion it´s a good movie to laugh and learn :)

American and japanese have a diferent idea about how to run a company. The japanesse method is a good example for american companies ,They try to keep an order and to think only in benefits for the company ,in contrast american workers think more in themselves ,their family and friends. They don’t like follow rules .
ReplyDeleteThat I could learned with this movie ,in especial in the last part ,is that american workers could be near to their goal ,working together like a team .It’s not dificult being succesful only you need to have an order in your life . In the movie for the american workers was very dificult adapt to the way how japanese manage their companies but it wasn't be impossible , also american workers conserved some customs and combined these with some of japan like putting music in their exercise routine . I really like the plot of this movie.

Well I think that American and Japanese have differents method to work. Japanese works in groups to succes, in contrast American works only by themselves.
ReplyDeleteWhat I learn with this movie is that everyone can succes only you have to follow rules, and never give up because is hard to get your goals.

ReplyDeleteJapan uses a very strict method when they want to make a business; they carry out screening and interviews to select the most suitable candidate for their company .they have a very strong routine focus on the business and they don't care a lot in the employees like give rewards and remuneration package. Besides, they focus more in the person for example they seek the desirable skills, the practical requirements, key duties, the personal style and behavior because they want to improve staff performance , build an effective team and develop creativity. That's why japan has a good economy and a good position in the market, when American's people see that they didn't like it at all because they are accustomed to work few hour and if they work more than normal they receive a shift allowance also the company likes to create a good rapport between the managers and the employees to increase the sales of its. And when the movie tries to say that and I like the way that both the American and Japanese culture work together although they have a lot of difference.

It’s true that Japanese and American have different way to manage a company. According to the movie, you can learn a lot about culture and Japanese methods. The movie was interesting because it has an important message that is if we worked with discipline, hard and did and efficient job, we can get a lot of advantages for example achieve your goal. Japanese are organized in all things that they do, they are disciplined and take advantages of their time because they do exercises before they started to do their job, they never broken rules, are responsible with their job and also they work hard and do an efficient job. On the other hand, American workers don't follow rules, and for them was difficult to adapt to Japanese methods, because they had a different result that they expected to got it. I like the movie because has a good message and you can enjoy with it.

This movie shows some cultural diferencces between USA and Japan. I can say the way Japanese people run thieir companies are totally diferent than the American way. Also, the way Japanese motivate their employees (like doing exercises)is something we´ve never seen here - I mean, in a Occidental Company.
ReplyDeleteI think our companies try this "Japanese Methods", we would develop a better economy because of the benefits that it has. I think the most important of this benefits is to be trained for being part of a group, because we all are part of group and not just a single worker.

IN JAPAN THE PERSONS HAVE TO TAKE AN EXAM TO BECOME A BUSINESSMAN , IN THIS EXAM THEY ARE HUMILIATED BY THEIR TEACHER BECAUSE I THINK THAT THEY WANT TO TEACH THEM TO BE MORE DISCIPLINED
ReplyDeleteALSO ALL ARE UNITED IN JAPAN BECAUSE THEY WORK TOGETHER IN GROUPS TO MAKE A GOOD JOB BECAUSE THERE THEY ONLY CAN MAKE PERFECT THINGS AND THATS BECAUSE IF THEY FAIL , THEY WILL LOSE THEIR HONOR
THE JAPANESE ARE VERY RESPONSABLE AND DEMANDING AT THEIR WORK BECAUSE THEY NEVER BROKEN THE RULES AND NEVER STOP WORKING
I THINK THAT THE MOVIE WAS INTERESTING AND FUNNY BECAUSE THE AMERICANS AND THE JAPANESES HAS DIFERENTS CUSTOMS AND THAT PRODUCE MANY FIGHTS BETWEEN BOTH

I need to say tha there are different ways of succed in a company. For example american people like to be competitive while japanese people prefer to work together as a team. I think we have to learn to work as a team because the union is strength and companies need that strength to succed instead of only think about money , money and more money.
ReplyDeleteI liked this movie bacaus it shows the differences running a company between american and japanese people and the importance of working as a group .

When I saw this movie, I had a lot of fun, because there were some scenes that were really funny, but If I focus on the movie, people should work as a team, I mean when we work together we could make a better job than make it by ourself, like japanese people, this movie show us many ways to run a company and I think one of the most important things it's the fact , how different cultures can make a better job, collecting differents skills from both and learning from both, I really enjoyed this movie, especially the part when the man enters to a room full of pure Japanese and started making jokes about the distance covered to reach them and the funny thing was that the Japanese were not laughing.

I really enjoyed this movie because it was an effective way to see the differences between both systems of management. I think the most important thing that we can learn about this movie is to develop a balance between these two systems, not to focus so much in our job that we forget about the rest, but also not to be so lazy and do our work as fast as we can just to go home. The movie shows us many scenes to understand this, for example: the baseball game, where Japanese people show themselves as a team, wearing their uniforms, and no like Americans who just want to hit the ball so far as they can. On the other hand, Japanese people were so strict during work that they don’t allow Americans to listen to music during work. I think be responsible with job is very important, but you don’t have to take it at that level, for example when the movie almost ends one of the Japanese employees was very worried about his wife who was giving birth, and he couldn’t say that he really wanted to go to see her.
ReplyDeleteAt the end, both (Japanese and Americans) understand that they have to work together to get their goals, and also to demonstrate that they really can work together if they want to.
